Please answer the following questions to the best of your ability and be as detailed as possible. All raider applications will be posted to our Applications forum, so please check back frequently to answer any questions our officers may have and to see the results of your application. We do accept all types of players into Draconian Redemption, so don't be afraid to apply even if you don't enjoy raiding. If you are not a raider, then only fill out the top portion of the application. What is your character name and class? Do you prefer progression and hard mode raiding, easy raiding and farm content, or would you rather not raid at all? (This answer will not affect our decision to accept or decline your application so please answer truthfully.) How did you hear about Draconian Redemption and why do you wish to join us? RAIDING: Please list any past/current guild/raiding alliance affiliations: What is your spec, rotation, and glyph setup, and why did you choose them? Please list your gear level range from lowest to highest: (ex. 219-245) What raid experience do you have? What is your role during a raid? Are you open to feedback/constructive criticism? How do you go about preparing for raids? After reading over our raid schedule on the main page of our website, how many raids will you be willing and able to commit to per week? Are you interested in joining the guild or would you prefer to stay in your current guild and be an allied member? (Allies and guildies are treated the same in the loot system and rostering priority, but some 10-man runs may be limited to guild members only.) Have you read over our rules and DKP system and understand them fully? I have CDO. It's like OCD, except that all the letters are in alphabetical order. As they should be. |

Not sure if my input counts for anything since I'm not an officer, however, I want to say that I have known Thad since he and I (on Dismass) went through the Battle for Undercity event after Wrathgate. It's rare nowadays that someone happens to be doing that event at the same time as you, so I was a bit surprised when he popped up on my screen by the NPCs outside Undercity, and even more surprised at his behavior during the event. He was right in the mix of things and holding his own as any good tank should be and still had concern for my well-being as a team member although he didn't know me at all. I was happy to hang back so I wouldn't die but not him. lol Then over the next couple of months I began seeing more and more of him in various raids that we had pugged separately, and then finally I would see him on purpose whenever I could talk my other raid leader (the one I have been going to 10man ICC with on Dis) into snapping him up as one of our tanks. I had noticed that Thad had progressed well over the months and had become quite a good warrior tank. I can vouch for his behavior during raids and in vent - it's always been serious and professional when needed as well as relaxed when the occasion calls for it. I have no doubts he will fit right in with DR raiding in all categories, and the guild as a whole. :) |

Gear looks good for the most part. I would switch the dodge trinket out for the Glyph trinket from triumph badges, Armor is win. Everything else looks pretty good but would need to see in action. Voting for accept for casual raiding and we can go from there. With tanks its not easy to post numbers from world of logs or other similar sites to see where your at so the only way is to see you in action. Possible for progression pending performance and availability. We do already have two tanks for our progression raids but I know we wouldn't mind a night off or a night to DPS. :P As note, our tank spots are available through dead mans boots. So for a progression tank spot one of us would have to step down or you would have to out performance one of us. We do need another tank for our second ten man and there may be a spot in rotation for the progression pending performance. Fair warning, and I only say this to the tanks due to their importance. We are more harsh on our tanks and healers than any other raid role and the tanks especially. During your performance evaluation we will first tell you when our dps will act up on purpose to simulate bad situations to see how you react and then will do so without warning. We have done this to every tank we have had including me. It's how we test. So knowing that it is all in fun and to help people get better so when we go that route please don't think we are picking on you. Dealing with our DPS's random hijinks comes with the job, they like to make sure we are awake. :P All in all looking forward to having you as a member and possibly raiding the Heroic modes with us. Good Luck. WOOF! |

I'll defer to Ceciel and Drash for the actual gearing/gemming/etc for Prot warriors, since I don't have enough experience with that class. As for the rest, our current main tank roles are well filled in terms of our 10 man progression, but an extra standby tank for a 2nd ICC group or even for those times one can't make it wouldn't be a bad thing either. Obviously, we'd need to give you a chance to show us your tanking skills to make a final judgment before voting towards progression stuff, but I have no objections to casual raiding for now with our group while we feel each other out. Don't fight darkness - bring the Light, and darkness will disappear. |
