Draconian Redemption

Twinne, Dual Wield Frost DK.

Do you prefer progression and hard mode raiding, easy raiding and farm content, or would you rather not raid at all? (This answer will not affect our decision to accept or decline your application so please answer truthfully.)
I would prefer Progression and Hardmode Raiding, however I do enjoy going back and doing the old stuff (Ulduar, ToC, Naxx, ect.)

How did you hear about Draconian Redemption and why do you wish to join us?
I have had pretty close ties with many members of Draconian Redemption for a long time now. Back in August of 09 I was actually in the process of joining the guild (I was coming with the Mutiny crowd) as a 25 man tank. However, due to the loss of my account, that obviously did not happen.

I would like to join you now because I am looking for a guild where I can finally get back into raiding again with people that I enjoy playing this game with. From what I have seen in the raids that I have been on with the guild, It would be a good home for me.

In WotLK I have been in For the Win, Divinity, and Mutiny. I raided with other various guilds from time to time due to in game friends getting me slots sometimes.

My current guild, The Arathor Trolling Co, is my guild that has myself and 3 other people in it-aka just for "shits and giggles"

What is your spec, rotation, and glyph setup, and why did you choose them?
(You must choose one main spec for raiding with our group.)
I am a DW Frost all the way down to that frozen spot where my heart should be.

Rotation as frost is a very hard thing to actually spell out because there is simply no set rotation for my spec (this is mainly due to Frost's heavy reliance on procs) Basically the best I can give you is this
Single Target- Place Diseases (IT/PS), BS, BS, OB, Keep diseases active with Pest. Frost strikes are used when Killing Machine procs or when all other abilities are on CD. Priority goes to keeping my runes off CD so that they come back up faster and they aren't just sitting there being wasted. The only exception is if I have full Runic Power in which case I will hit a frost strike or two. Of course I hit howling blast whenever Rime procs (only after I hit Frost strike so that it gets the Killing Machine affect) So as you can see it is very situational and unpredictable (one of the many reasons why I love this spec)

My Glyphs are as follows-

Majors- Glyph of Disease, Glyph of Frost Strike, and Glyph of Obliterate.

Minors- Glyph of Pestilence, Glyph of Raise Dead, Glyph of Horn of Winter.

Major Reasons-
Glyph of Disease was chosen because it allows me to use 1 blood rune to renew my diseases on my main target instead of having to use 1 Frost and 1 Unholy. Doing this basically gives me an extra Oblit to use. Blood runes do not convert to nearly as much dmg as Frost/unholy runes do as frost.

Glyph of Obliterate- This was chosen because Obliterate is a Frost DK's second highest DPS ability (under white hits of course) and upping your number one active ability is always a good thing.

Glyph of Frost Strike- This was chosen because Frost strike is your third highest dmg dealer (under Oblit and White hits) as a frost DK and reducing the Runic Power cost on it by a whole 8 points allows me to use it more often which is obviously good.

Minor Reasons-

Glyph of Horn of Winter- Makes it so I don't have to worry about hitting horn as often.

Glyph of Raise Dead- Convenience (just dont want to carry regents for my ghoul)

Glyph of Pestilence- This is the only real in combat "helpful" minor glyph that DK's have. It allows us to spread out diseases over a larger space making it easier to aoe.

The reason I chose my spec is simply because I love Frost and it is arguably the most viable raiding spec for a DK atm. With it's amazing burst AoE and good burst single target I believe that it out preforms both other specs by just enough to be noticeable. Of course Blood catches up on single target once you get the gear for blood (its a very gear dependent spec)

Sadly my gear is not as high as I would like it to be (this being in part to me only re-rolling a new toon about 2 months ago or so.

Most of my gear is closer to the high than the low. Only two pieces are that low and they will be replaced very soon (once tanks quit stealing my trinket from FoS)

What raid experience do you have?
Raided everything in BC

In Wrath I have cleared every raid many times except for ICC. I have downed 4/12 in ICC but I have been in raids that got shots in at Fester/Rotface.

I used to lead a very successful Ulduar 10 run that got to Yogg multiple times, but never got to down him due to me losing my account.

What is your role during a raid?
My role as Frost dps aside from the obvious (wacking the hell out of stuff) is interrupting whenever I can on any spell I see being cast (specific spells if the fight mechanics call for that) Because I am frost and I have Endless Winter, my mind freezes cost no runic power which means it does not hinder my dps other than using a global CD.

I also can preform various gimmick roles such as DGing sparks on Malygos or anything of the like.

Are you open to feedback/constructive criticism?
Of course. I am always interested in hearing what other have to think about my performance. Basically, why would I get butt hurt about someone trying to help me play the game better?

How do you go about preparing for raids?
Obviously I make sure I have enough money for repairs. I make sure I have enough Flasks of Endless Rage to last me through the night. I make sure I have Jeeves safely tucked in my bags. I get Haste Pots and HP Pots. I grab some drinks, snacks, and use the bathroom so I don't have to afk until a given afk break. I generally get on at least 30 min before raid time so that I can have all of this done. If I know I can't get on 30 min earlier I will try to get prepared earlier in the day so that I can be on time. Finally, I get on vent sit tight until raid leaders says "PULL!"

After reading over our raid schedule on the main page of our website, how many raids will you be willing and able to commit to per week?
7 days a week. There will be some periods of time in which I will be on vacation or some nights that I may have to go somewhere or do something in real life, but I will let you know as early as I can about them.

Are you interested in joining the guild or would you prefer to stay in your current guild and be an allied member? (Allies and guildies are treated the same in the loot system and rostering priority, but some 10-man runs may be limited to guild members only.)

Aye.

Yeah, I plan on getting him to get me a new one and in the meantime I am going to do some temporary fixes. I don't know if it will help or not, but its worth a shot.

Meh, sorry for it all being so hard to read. I spaced it out better when I submitted, but I guess the thing didn't transfer all of the spaces and enters over. If you want to have a talk with me in vent about all this so that you don't have to read it all, I'm up for that.

Looking over the basics with Armory, your spec/glyphs look fine, though I do see a couple of pieces that need to get replaced ASAP. The Hit/AP Triumph trinket is crappy, but it's better than the blue one you're using atm, and you could replace the boots with the Exalted 200 ones from the Ebon Blade quartermaster (they've got 2 sockets too, so a couple of +Str gems are nice).

To be honest, don't really have an issue with your gear level for things like our ICC 25/weekly runs and things, but you would need a bit more work before hitting the harder fights in Icecrown, which can be solved with Frost badges and just some more badge farming on your end.

What I do have a concern with, and I want to clear it up before there's a problem, you've mentioned losing your account awhile back. One, be sure to have an Authenticator on your account, but secondly, we -really- don't want or tolerate crap in Trade or raids associated with DR that's going to end up getting you permabanned from the game. Not trying to be a jerk about it, but it is an issue I want you to be aware of.

Otherwise, I'm okay with Casual membership, and we'll review again for progression once you've hit a little more gearing.

A few updates-

Did get those boots. Even though they aren't great, they are better than the trash I had before.

I finally got off my lazy butt and bought like 200 Relics of Ulduar and got exalted with SoH. (Stupid easy to do now)

Still doing FoS every day. In fact I got to do it twice today because I did it and then I got it again for my Random Daily. Sadly, trinket didn't drop so I'm still workin on that. Been doing ToC 25 for the Trinket off Twin Valks as well and no luck there yet either.

I'll keep you guys posted when I get more stuff and whatnot.

Another update on gear- Replaced the terribad trinket with the Trinket off of Deathwhisper 10 man (Whispering Fanged Skull) GS is now at high 4.9k.
