Please answer the following questions to the best of your ability and be as detailed as possible. All raider applications will be posted to our Applications forum, so please check back frequently to answer any questions our officers may have and to see the results of your application. We do accept all types of players into Draconian Redemption, so don't be afraid to apply even if you don't enjoy raiding. If you are not a raider, then only fill out the top portion of the application.

What is your character name and class?
Zanthalas, Mage.

Do you prefer progression and hard mode raiding, easy raiding and farm content, or would you rather not raid at all? (This answer will not affect our decision to accept or decline your application so please answer truthfully.)
I dont mind progression runs, and have run Heroic ToC 25 (attempts on Beasts and Jara), downed Valkyrs, and have attempted Anub.

How did you hear about Draconian Redemption and why do you wish to join us?
Ferindias recommended a put in an application for casual raiding.

RAIDING:
(Please answer the following questions only if you intend to raid with us.)

Please list any past/current guild/raiding alliance affiliations:
I lead a 10 man group, Dreadwind Raiding. Consists of members from various small guilds.

What is your spec, rotation, and glyph setup, and why did you choose them?
(You must choose one main spec for raiding with our group.)

My spec is Arcane/Frost (57/3/11). My rotation is arcane blast x3 or x4, Arcane Missle, if Missle Barrage, if not, it's Arcane Barrage, sometimes Fire Blast if i'm on the move or if it's up.

Please list your gear level range from lowest to highest: (ex. 219-245)
(These numbers now appear on the in-game item tooltips.)

232 to 277 (277 is my Ashen Verdict Ring, otherwise it's 264).

What raid experience do you have?
In BC I raided Karazhan to clear, did a partial Zul'Aman. In WOTLK, I raided Naxxramas 10 and 25 clear(a lot), Ulduar 10 and 25 (upto and downing Hodir). Full Clear ToC 10, ToC 25, and have experience fighting H ToC 25 Valkyr and Anub. ICC 10 to Rotface. ICC 25 clear Lower Spire.

What is your role during a raid?

Are you open to feedback/constructive criticism?
Always.

How do you go about preparing for raids?
I make my own flasks and speed pots with my shaman, and bring those. I always have reagents.

After reading over our raid schedule on the main page of our website, how many raids will you be willing and able to commit to per week?
I can commit to Tues/Wed/Thurs. Friday and Saturday I have my own 10 man.

Are you interested in joining the guild or would you prefer to stay in your current guild and be an allied member? (Allies and guildies are treated the same in the loot system and rostering priority, but some 10-man runs may be limited to guild members only.)
I'd prefer to be an allied member for now.

Have you read over our rules and DKP system and understand them fully?
Yes.

I have CDO. It's like OCD, except that all the letters are in alphabetical order. As they should be.

Looks good.

Average Item Level 251.
All Enchanted.
All Gemmed.
Experienced.
Didn't fail at reading and answering questions!

I'm not a mage, but I assume (fairly or not) that anyone who clearly spends the time to Enchant and Gem in a reasonable fashion also specs in an efficient manner.

Ticks all my boxes for a yes.

It is always a pleasure to see a wellgeared mage that also knows how to play the class. Zanthalas is an excellent mage from what i have seen in the past few weeks we have had him in our raids. Would be an asset to our raids for sure. Of course if he gets my boots off fester all bets are off.....just sayin.

I raided with Zanth throughout BC. He puts out very good dps, keeps up on theorycrafting, and, most importantly, is a really helpful, humble, friendly guy. I recommend him highly, obviously.

One note on his application: not that we're currently drawing much of a distinction between casual and progression raids in our 25s, but I recommend him for full-on progression raiding rather than simply "casual" raiding.

Zan did a really nice job from what I saw yesterday. I am inclined to defer to Loreaa's opinion on specifics, of course-and she seems to endorse him.

Thumbs up.

Ardent Defender > Old Gods

Sounds good for me. He's been a good player in our raids

Don't fight darkness - bring the Light, and darkness will disappear.

You're right, Ferin, I'm correcting the title to "Progression Raider Application".

I have CDO. It's like OCD, except that all the letters are in alphabetical order. As they should be.

Accepted for progression raiding.
