Application for Sirambrose - Paladin (Holy - Prot) Holy is Main Spec.

Okay - So I tried another guild to see if their raiding time works for me - nope - 2AM server time didn't.

I'd like to apply for raiding with DR. I like the ppl here. I will sign up for the weeks and times that work for me. However, there will be times when I have evening appointments. I can do 2 nights/week but that's all I can do.

Obviously, there are times when I am gone for a week - continuing ed, vacations, etc.

Once I make a commitment - I am there.

I used to lead raids back in BC and organize them as well - thankless job! I had fun tho - enjoyed learning new bosses and working with ppl.

I am open to suggestions as to how to play better for the group.

My main goal is to do what is necessary for the group progression and not just my own selfish wants.

Thanks for your consideration for progression raiding.

Sir Ambrose (aka Teecup)

First question, which toon is actually your main? You're listed with Teecup as the primary in the guild, with Ambrose as an alt, and frankly, we do not roster alts into progression unless we have absolutely no other choice to complete a group. We do need you to "pick" one for consideration.

Also, for progression, I would ask that you copy and fill out the complete application first, and then we can review it from there.

Don't fight darkness - bring the Light, and darkness will disappear.

What is your character name and class?

My name is Sirambrose. I am a Holy Pally with Prot secondary spec.

Do you prefer progression and hard mode raiding, easy raiding and farm content, or would you rather not raid at all? (This answer will not affect our decision to accept or decline your application so please answer truthfully.)

I actually prefer the challenge and learning of progression. I enjoy the accomplishment as a team effort. I also enjoy farming the instance in order to assist others to learn, grow, understand, and gear up.

How did you hear about Draconian Redemption and why do you wish to join us?

I heard about DR through Charix and Plat - knew them back in old BC. Grouped up with them and did some raiding. I also learned that there were other former players I knew from back in Burnt Out Raiders who had switched over. Spoke very highly of DR - friendly, helpful, casual, and progression oriented for those who wish to do so.

RAIDING:
(Please answer the following questions only if you intend to raid with us.)

Please list any past/current guild/raiding alliance affiliations:

Burnt Out Raiders, Got Arggo, NME

What is your spec, rotation, and glyph setup, and why did you choose them?
(You must choose one main spec for raiding with our group.)

I was Holy Spec Paladin back in BC content and enjoyed healing.
I make sure to Beacon a tank & Sacred Shield. I make sure to utilize the benefit of Flash of Light on the tank while Sacred Shield is active. I use Consentration Aura to help with the potential push-back issue from damage. I buff with Seal of Light so that when I judge the tank mob - it will heal as party does damage to it. My main heals are Holy Light & Holy Shock, utilizing Flash of Light as Holy Shock procs for instant heals. Use Flash of Light as ultility heals when very little is needed. I continually keep aware of cleasing issues from poison and disease. I make sure I use the benefit of Divine Plea for mana regen. Judge mob when it refreshes, Beacon and Sacred Shield when it wears off.

Major Glyphs: Holy Light, Seal of Wisdom, Divinity
Minor Glyphs: Blessing of Wisdom, The Wise, Lay Hands

Chose these after reading various forums and web page suggestions. For mana efficiency and healing maximization.

Please list your gear level range from lowest to highest: (ex. 219-245)
(These numbers now appear on the in-game item tooltips.)

Gear Level range is: 200 - 264 You might be wondering why I am using a lvl 200 item still. Well, It's the Egg of Mortal Essence. This Trinket has the proc ability to increase my haste rating by 505 for 10 sec. I have found that a good balance of haste, spell power, and crit is very important.

What raid experience do you have?

None in WoTLK expansion. When I recently came back to playing the game - this is when I joined DR. Previously in BC raided Karazhan, Gruul's Lair, Mag. Lair, Zul'Aman, Black Temple (a little.

What is your role during a raid?

Healer, Healer, Healer, and then some tanking as I leveled my Warrior (Teecup)

Are you open to feedback/constructive criticism?

Oh Yes! I know that I have a lot to learn from others as they are much more experienced than I am presently at raiding in WoTLK. Even if I thought I was doing quite well - I welcome feedback in order to assist the group (raid) so that we can all be successful and have fun.

How do you go about preparing for raids?

I make sure I have enough reagents, Mana Pots, and some elixers to help with Wis or Spellpower. If I don;t have any - purchase from AH or ask guildies to make some for me (my mats) in preparation for raid. All these things must be done well in advance - even prior to raid invite (hate starting late and waiting on others when I've taken the time for preparation and other's have not).

After reading over our raid schedule on the main page of our website, how many raids will you be willing and able to commit to per week?

I could only commit to 2 nights/week on Week Nights. I could commit to one during the day or possibly an evening on some weekends.

Are you interested in joining the guild or would you prefer to stay in your current guild and be an allied member? (Allies and guildies are treated the same in the loot system and rostering priority, but some 10-man runs may be limited to guild members only.)

I prefer to wear the Draconian Redemption guild name.

Have you read over our rules and DKP system and understand them fully?

I got the basics of it - would have to read it several times to digest the details. Seems like a fair way to reward participation, effort, success, and additional efforts beyond the raid itself.

Looking through your gear and spec, you seem to be geared fine for going into ICC 10/25 (though I'd suggest replacing the Seethe if you can, I know healing weapons are a pain right now). Your Glyphs and gems are geared toward a HL spam build, which is okay; personally I prefer a little more mobility myself.

The main concern I have right now is your availability. We raid 25 on Tues/Wed; 10s on Thurs/Fri. Are you able to meet this schedule consistently? To be honest, we need to make sure the folks, especially our healers, will be there to learn the new content and help us progress to get it cleared. Also, I'd want to take you through some ToC/VoA/etc style raids to see your performance.

Don't fight darkness - bring the Light, and darkness will disappear.

Teecup/Sirambrose AKA Paul!!! I's welcome you back babe!! Missed ya =)

Why so many haste gems? You should really never gem for haste. The bonus from Intel is just so much better. (Added +sp, mana, crit, and mp5 due to divine plea).

Also, you seem to be specced for more of a utility role, yet you avoided blessed hands? 10% increase to hand of sacrifice and and 100% better hand of salv? If i'm utility, I want that talent and I want it now. Also, why no aura mastery? having that doubled in effectiveness aura is great for spots of burst damage (popped during Festergut's vile expulsion for example) has less damage going around. The benefit from the 3% decrease in cost for instant spells is not that important compared to the extra utility you are gaining.

Also, with a utility build, you want to maximize your healing, so a glyph of seal of wisdom is somewhat pointless. Go with Glyph of Seal of Light to maximize that healing. If you want to conserve mana, go to more of a crit build, that will give you the most sustainability for mana.

That's my 2 copper. Otherwise, your gear looks good and from the sounds of it, your rotation sounds pretty good. Would like to see how you perform in a highly mobile fight and then in a static one just to get a comparison though.

Blah and stuff!

Well - It may not work out for me to raid with ya'll. Raiding 4 nites a week is not possible. 2 nites would be max. As far as spec and glyphs - those are minor issues I have not addressed cuz I'm simply healing heroics - and do fine. When it is raiding time - I would certainly glyph and spec for what the raid needs me to do.

Why did I gem haste - cuz last raid grp wanted me to be quick utility healer. So I did that cuz they asked.

I certainly take advice and will do what necessary to assist the raid.

Perhaps my raiding days are not yet. Still family and work comes first. Unfortunately, I make evening appointments. I can only block out 2 nites at most. So am I reliable? I am if I committed to being there. Can I be there every week? No. Only for those I am available and commit.

Voting closed 2 to accept for casual vs 1 to reject. Accepted for casual raiding.

I have CDO. It's like OCD, except that all the letters are in alphabetical order. As they should be.
